Erin Long-Bergeson
An active member of the South Carolina Association of CPAs and the International Association of CPAs, Erin brings to clients 20+ years of experience in Public Accounting and Tax Management. A savvy finance and business management advisor, Erin cut her teeth working as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch on Wall Street. Erin has an intense desire to help businesses thrive.
Originally from Chapin, SC and a graduate of Chapin High School Erin’s higher education includes:
- BS in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting, University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Finance, Brigham Young University, Marriott School of Management
Erin has served as:
- Treasurer and Chairman of the Greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce
- Treasurer for the Greater Chapin Community Endowment
- County Councilmember for Lexington County Council – District 6

Jen Nelson
OFFICE MANAGER
And Director of Client Happiness
Originally from Maryland, Jen has lived in New York, Massachusetts and Georgia and is happy to call Chapin home. Her past work experiences include Ernst & Young, Northwestern Mutual and the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.
Aside from her love of animals, Jen is passionate about her kids, reading, running, playing tennis and spending time on Lake Murray. “I love interacting with our clients and helping them with all aspects of growing their businesses.
Brandy Watson
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Brandy grew up in Prosperity, SC just outside of Chapin. She received a B.S, in Early Childhood Education from Newberry College, and a AAS in Business from Piedmont Tech. In 2018 Brandy joined ELAC as a Staff Accountant. Bookkeeping, payroll and payroll tax returns, business and personal taxes are her passion. “I love preparing business tax returns and helping business stay on the right track.” Brandy is married to her high school sweetheart, Daniel and they have two amazing children, a daughter and a son.
Carolyn Harris
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Carolyn grew up in Pennsylvania and now resides in Irmo, SC. Prior to joining ELAC in 2021 as a Staff Accountant, Caroline worked at Haymore and Forsberg, a CPA firm in Sierra Vista, Arizona. In 2015, she received an Associate Degree in Business Administration in 2015 from Cochise College. Carolyn is very detail oriented, and loves bookkeeping as well as preparing payroll, payroll tax returns and personal tax returns. She enjoys hiking, traveling, music, crafts, sewing and quilting. She has a daughter, two step children, and two grandchildren.
Mark Branch
IT SPECIALIST
Mark is an office coordinator for ELAC and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Mark has lived in Chapin, South Carolina his whole life. He graduated from Chapin High School and attended Lander University. Mark has a background as an optician and IT specialist.
When Mark isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, family and friends. He enjoys many watersports including wakeboarding, skim boarding, knee boarding, and paddle boarding. He also enjoys riding motorcycles on and off road with his father.
Xander Long
STAFF ACCOUNTANT I
IT SPECIALIST
A current resident of Newberry, SC, Xander was born in Florida but thinks of himself a native South Carolinian. Xander received a B.S.E. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
He enjoys logical, analytical problem solving, reading as well as listening to and playing music. He is also a big movie fan, especially Star Wars.
